Highlights
Christmas at The Well
Christmas at The Well was celebrated in style with 60 food hampers being distributed to clients of the program, along with the usual grocery items. The team of dedicated volunteers were then able to sit down for a Christmas feast and some quality time together. We wish all our clients and volunteers a wonderful festive season and look forward to seeing you all again in February.
Father’s Day at The Well
Bunnings sausage sizzle fundraiser
Our recent fundraising event was a sizzling success! Thanks to the support of our wonderful church family and donations from local businesses we were able to raise considerable funds for RBCares. These will go to ensuring our community programs remain strong and vibrant long into the future.
From the early morning setup to the final clean-up, the energy and enthusiasm levels stayed high. Even a torrential lunchtime downpour couldn’t dampen the spirits of the wonderful volunteers. We look forward to turning this into a regular event on the RBCares calendar!
Bendigo Bank Community Grant
Members of the RBCares Board attended the recent presentation night at the State Basketball Centre in Wantirna South. Our grateful thanks go to the Bendigo Bank for their generous grant of $1000 to support the IT integration of RBCares and the Wellington Care Centre.
Mother’s Day at The Well
A special date in The Well calendar saw us providing 50 pamper gift packs to all the ladies who attended our program. We hope they all enjoyed the opportunity to take some time out and spoil themselves. Thanks to Pinchapoo for their generous donation of these items.
Length of Service Awards
The Well Team Leader was recognised for her outstanding service to this vital community initiative at the recent Knox Community Awards night. Ruth has dedicated her time in service as a volunteer at The Well for over 10 years, and is the heart and soul of this program. Grateful thanks go to Ruth from all at The well and RBCares
